Professional Work History

Medical University of South Carolina 01/02 - Present
Designing and maintaining the integrity of MUSC’s Library’s web sites; focusing on usability, information architecture, and enhancing the user experience. Daily responsibilities include: maintaining University standards, planning functionality, W3C/508 compliance, formulating design strategies. Creating and coordinating the creation of promotional materials, art work, and collaborating with a variety of constituencies at all levels of the University. Often new development requires guiding, training, and coordinating faculty and staff members on activities relating to new interfaces and processes

Comark 7/00 - 8/01
Designing and directing the overall look-and-feel of a large e-commerce website, including the layout of feature articles, review articles, shopping carts and department sections. Scheduling and budgeting for illustrations, photography and graphics for the website from the conceptual stage to completion. Collaborating with marketing and editorial departments on design and preparation of artwork for promotional materials.

Oller Studios 8/99 - 7/00
Designing in an agency environment. Working closely with clients, IT developers and printers to create web sites, magazine ads, and newspaper ads. Developing custom photography and layouts and seeing projects to fruition.

Savannah College of Art and Design 7/98 - 7/99
Working in the Print Services department running a wax thermo color printer and monitoring large computer labs. Troubleshooting and collaborating with designers with various software applications, in both the designing and printing phases.

Speedi-sign 8/97 - 7/98
Assisting in a print shop from the Art department to the Shipping department. Focusing on poster printing and six color T-shirt printing. Included duties: vinyl lettering, managing of production flow, machine maintenance, and meeting with suppliers and clients.
